Created and owned by former Scottish National Fly Fishing Champion Mike Forbes, the complex at Kingennie includes a Country House with restaurant, and an angling equipment and gift shop. Accommodation, if required, is in 11 luxury self-catering lodges plus the Leannan Boathouse. Kingennie is one of the best destinations for angling and family holidays in Scotland, and is an ideal base from which to explore the Angus countryside and east coast towns.

The three trout pools at Kingennie cover a total of 12 acres of water and cater for all anglers tastes. The specimen pool is our renowned BIG FISH WATER and is perfect for the trophy hunter. Our New Bankside Pool offers good quality fly-fishing and is ideal for clubs and competitions. Woodside our method pool is suitable for kids, beginners and those who don't only fly fish. Our Applehill Coarse Pool offers quality coarse and angling opportunities.

All the essentials like flies, leaders, hats, glasses and accessories are all stocked at the Sportsmans Entrance.
Kingennie Fishings centres around the former  "Old Boathouse" – now the Country Huse - which has been converted into our reception, restaurant, bar and function suites, and tackle shop. The shop stocks many brand names including Fulling Mill Ltd, Bob Church & Co. Ltd, Crystal River Ltd, Leeda, Wychwood, Luredash and Sharpes of Aberdeen. The shop also now sells golf equipment and clothing. Our extended restaurant facilities offer relaxed and formal dining experiences, as well as a daily selection of mouth watering snacks and hot and cold beverages.
